Maria Elena Bello, born April 18, 1967 in the United States, is an actress as well as a writer, producer, and director. Her film credits include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a TV actress as the character Dr. Anna Del Amico, the medical drama that was aired from 1997 to. She also played Michelle McBride on Goliath's first season in 2016 and as Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane on NCIS in which she was as the lead agent. Bello was born on 18 April 1967 in Norristown, Pennsylvania,[2] to Kathy, a school nurse and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a poor, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. [7][8] In political science, Bello majored at Villanova University. Bello was a stage actor in New York and continued to improve her skills after graduation. Bello has her son Jackson with her ex-boyfriend Dan McDermott. Bello wrote in November 2013 about her identical-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended. She released a book, Whatever...Love Is LOVE: Questioning The Labels We Give to Ourself, (Dey Street Books) on April 28, 2015.
